Unapproved medication severely harmed my family member—I demand full accountability Mesa must be held fully accountable for gross medical negligence and a catastrophic failure in patient care. My family member entered this facility for rehabilitation after a hip fracture with the clear goal of rebuilding her strength. Instead, the administration and medical staff engaged in reckless, unauthorized decision-making that stripped away her health and independence. Without authorization or approval from her family or personal primary care doctors, this facility placed her on Mounjaro. She was not overweight, and her A1C was completely normal. Administering a heavy weight-loss and diabetes medication to a vulnerable patient recovering from a major bone fracture caused rapid weight loss and severe muscle wasting (sarcopenia)—completely destroying the very muscle tone she needed to walk again. The results of their negligence are devastating. She was discharged in a state of severe physical weakness. Today, she is at home requiring 24-hour care. She cannot hold a water bottle to her mouth and must be spoon-fed by her daughters. This was not a minor mistake; it was an appalling breach of duty that destroyed our family member’s quality of life. We demand that leadership and management take immediate, public responsibility for this egregious error, investigate who authorized this order, and issue a formal apology to our family. If you are considering this facility for a loved one, be warned: their reckless actions and lack of oversight can leave your family member in far worse shape than when they arrived.

I do not know what other people are rating on,as for my mom it was horrible she was there for rehab 2 months and were told the day after her release she never wanted to Cooperate 2 months!!! Keep her for no reason, then prescribing monjaro without letting us know! In those 2 months my mom lost a lot of muscle, her legs are so thin makes me upset everytime I see her. 2 months and we took her home starting from zero! And let me not forget she had a catheter that ‘Supposedly’ couldn’t take out so to Doctors order only for them to take it out the day we brought my mom home. So that was also bs they just didn’t want to deal with that situation. They should be ashamed Oh the receptionist are terrible with there favorite saying’ I don’t know’! Very upsetting to tell you the truth! I will never allow my Mom to go into this facility or Any other!

My grandmother seems to be very happy with the facilities attentiveness she’s unhappy daily with the food quality but she eats so she’s happy with the assistance she receives daily

Shingles on my family member only reason they found out is because I changed his shirt and found it myself very disappointed with this place his blanket lost been 3 weeks or more and all they say I we will look for it he doesn’t shower because supposedly he gets difficult and they stop trying nails from his feet are curving and they tell me they dont cut nails. today he was wearing only one sock and his feet smell also roach droppings in his dresser told nurse and she said she would tell them to clean it up but still the same ppl think their loved ones are being taken care of but In Reality not happening at all looking for a new facility to tranfer him asap

We looked for a place for our loved one to recover and get 24 hour care. Everyone has answered any and all of our questions. We were able to tour and ask questions before we made our decision. From the moment they arrived they made our loved one feel comfortable and well cared for. So far its been a nice place for them feel they can recover and reach their goal and go home.

Great experience here. My 90 yr. old dad was treated with care & respect by the friendly & professional staff during his stay. Hats of to the great staff especially Beca & Randy the director for accommodating my father with such short notice. Thanks for everything. Definitely recommend.

My sister is being cared for at this facility. They gave given her the best care. The facility is clean they are polite and well staffed. ☆☆☆☆☆ Highly recommend!

THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO GET ANY TYPE OF CARE OR THERAPY THEY ALMOST KILLED MY SISTER BY LEAVING A DIRTY SPONGE ON AN OPEN WOUND ON MY SISTER SHE WONT BE RETURNING TO MESA HILLS AND NEITHER WILL I .I WAS ALSO THERE AND RANDY THE DIRECTOR OF THIS PLACE TRIED TO ILLEGALLY DUMP ME IM BEDBOUND AND ON OXYGEN AND HE GOT UP IN MY PERSONAL SPACE TO YELL AT ME ,HUMILIATED ME AND BILITTLED ME AND HE KICKED ME OUT THIS MORNING THEY HAVE RATS AND ROACHES INFESTATION VERY NASTY AND RANDY THE DIRECTOR IS ALSO HAVING AN AFFAIR WITH THE FEMALE STAFF THE PCP IGNORED ME THE WHOLE TIME I WAS THERE HE NEVER EVEN SHOWED HIS FACE IN MY ROOM TO TALK ABOUT MY HEALTH OR THERAPY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS FACILITY

My father was a resident at Mesa Hills, and the care he received went far beyond our expectations. We are deeply grateful for the love, compassion, and professional attention shown by every member of the staff. They were truly amazing—the best care facility I have ever seen. Thank you, Mesa Hills, for making such a meaningful difference in my father’s life and in ours.

The center is lively and clean. The staff are kind, friendly and really care about a positive experience for their patients.

We chose Mesa Hills for my mom’s recovery post hip surgery. The service provided by the whole staff was excellent. She was taken to therapy twice daily and helped with her rehabilitation after the surgery. She wasn’t eating at all, but the kitchen staff catered to her needs and she started eating. The CNAs were always looking out for her and were very attentive to her needs. The nurses kept an eye on her to keep her safe. We are very thankful to everyone who interacted with mom during her stay.

I want to take the time to thank Diana and Alfredo Picasso from the kitchen staff for going above and beyond for coming to my room on a daily basis making sure I get what I need. You’re the best!!

We are glad we made a great choice. They are some small incidents that can be address. We stay with my mom all day and night. We never saw a nutrition or dietitiian to eveluate my mom. Most of the time we have to be looking for nurses and cna. They don’t communicate with each other when ministering medication. At one point the light was on for 45min. until I went and call the nurse to wipe down my mom after pooping. As per therapy it has been fabulous. David, JC, JD have been awesome except Arron he came to work with my mom. He had personal issues that we don’t need to hear especially my mom. She is recuperating and doing very well. He made us feel guilty for his problems. We understand that there are issues and other patients. Mom sometimes is very inpatient and detail on the things she needs. Otherwise, we are welcome for your services and glad we choice a wonderful facility. Thank you for your work, Juanita Rodriguez and Alma Rodriguez.

Everyone here at Mesa Hills are amazing. My mom is in the respiratory section of the nursing home and all her nurses, RT’s, CNA’s, physical therapists, and all other staff that come in are so supportive, caring, and kind. Today my mom took off her trachea tube and they were in the room within a minute or two to fix the issue. Extremely attentive and always staying alert. Thank you so much for all that you do for my mom and continue to do for all your patients. God bless you all. ❤️
